Kosovo Police Reaffirms Commitment for Investigating and Addressing War Crimes
Policia e Kosovës riafirmon përkushtimin për hetimin dhe adresimin e krimeve të luftës

Drejtori i Përgjithshëm i Policisë së Kosovës, Kolonel Gazmend Hoxha, së bashku me Prokurorin e Prokurorisë Speciale të Republikës së Kosovës, Ilir Morina, Drejtorin e Departamentit të Hetimeve Agron Nezaj dhe Drejtorin e Drejtorisë për Hetimin e Krimeve të Luftës Bashkim Spahiu, realizuan dje me 16.07.2026 një vizitë në fshatrat Abri e Epërme dhe Poklek i Vjetër të Drenasit, vende ku gjatë luftës u kryen disa nga masakrat më të rënda ndaj popullsisë civile shqiptare.
Në këto dy lokalitete, forcat ushtarake, policore dhe paramilitare serbe vranë dhe masakruan mizorisht 82 civilë të pambrojtur, përfshirë gra, fëmijë dhe të moshuar, prej tyre 23 viktima në Abri të Epërme dhe 59 viktima në Poklekun e Vjetër.
Gjatë vizitës, delegacioni institucional u takua me familjarët e viktimave, Imer Deliu dhe Fadil Muqolli, të cilët ndanë dëshmitë dhe rrëfimet e tyre për ngjarjet tragjike. Drejtori Hoxha me përfaqësuesit tjerë institucionalë shprehën solidaritetin me familjet dhe ritheksuan angazhimin e përbashkët për zbardhjen e plotë të këtyre krimeve makabre dhe vënien e autorëve para drejtësisë.
Policia e Kosovës mbetet plotësisht e përkushtuar që, në koordinim të ngushtë me Prokurorinë Speciale dhe institucionet e tjera kompetente të zbatimit të ligjit, të vazhdojë me intensitet hetimin dhe dokumentimin e krimeve të luftës. Pavarësisht kohës së kaluar, çdo dëshmi dhe çdo informacion trajtohet me seriozitet të lartë, me synimin që përgjegjësit e këtyre krimeve të identifikohen, të ndiqen penalisht dhe të përballen me drejtësinë.

The General Director of Kosovo Police, Colonel Gazmend Hoxha, together with the Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, Ilir Morina, the Director of the Investigation Department Agron Nezaj and the Director of the War Crimes Investigation Directorate Bashkim Spahiu, yesterday, July 16, 2026, carried out a visit to the villages of Abri e Epërme and Poklek i Vjetër in Drenas, places where some of the most serious massacres against the Albanian civilian population were committed during the war.
In these two locations, Serbian military, police and paramilitary forces brutally killed and massacred 82 defenceless civilians, including women, children and the elderly, out of whom 23 victims in Abri e Epërme and 59 victims in Poklek i Vjetër.
During the visit, the institutional delegation met with the families of the victims, Imer Deliu and Fadil Muqolli, who shared their testimonies and stories about the tragic events. Director Hoxha and other institutional representatives expressed solidarity with the families and reemphasised their joint commitment to fully uncovering these macabre crimes and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
Kosovo Police remains fully committed to continuing, in close coordination with the Special Prosecution and other competent law enforcement institutions, the intensive investigation and documentation of war crimes. Regardless of the time that has passed, every piece of evidence and every piece of information is treated with the utmost seriousness, with the aim of identifying, prosecuting and bringing to justice the responsible persons for these crimes.
Preserving the memory of the victims, supporting their families and ensuring justice remain an institutional and moral obligation of the Republic of Kosovo.

Generalni Direktor Kosovske Policije, Pukovnik Gazmend Hodža, zajedno sa Tužiocem Specijalnog Tužilaštva Republike Kosovo, Ilir Morina, Direktorom Departmana za Istrage Agron Nezaj i Direktorom Direkcije za Istragu Ratnih Zločina Baškim Spahiu, juče, 16.07.2026. godine, realizovali su posetu selima Abri e Epërme dhe Poklek i Vjetër u Drenas, mestima gde su tokom rata počinjeni neki od najtežih masakra nad albanskim civilnim stanovništvom.
Na ove dve lokacije, srpske vojne, policijske i paravojne snage su brutalno ubile i masakrirale 82 bespomoćna civila, uključujući žene, decu i stare osobe, od kojih je 23 žrtve bilo u Gornjem Abru, a 59 žrtava u Starom Pokleku.
Tokom posete, institucionalna delegacija se sastala sa porodicama žrtava, Imer Deliju i Fadil Mućoli, koji su podelili svoja svedočanstva i priče o tragičnim događajima. Direktor Hodža i drugi institucionalni predstavnici izrazili su solidarnost sa porodicama i ponovili zajedničku posvećenost potpunom otkrivanju ovih jezivih zločina i izvođenju počinilaca pred lice pravde.
Kosovska Policija ostaje potpuno posvećena da, u bliskoj koordinaciji sa Specijalnim Tužilaštvom i drugim nadležnim institucijama za sprovođenje zakona, nastavi sa intenzivnim istragama i dokumentovanjem ratnih zločina. Bez obzira na proteklo vreme, svaka svedočanstva i svaka informacija se tretiraju sa visokim stepenom ozbiljnosti, sa ciljem da se odgovorni za ove zločine identifikuju, krivično gone i suoče sa pravdom.
Očuvanje sećanja na žrtve, podrška njihovim porodicama i uspostavljanje pravde ostaju institucionalna i moralna obaveza Republike Kosovo.
