On 23.01.2023, Kosovo Police, respectively the Directorate for Investigation of the Organized Crime in cooperation with the State Prosecution, in the wake of realization of strategic objectives and operational plans, aiming to combat the criminal activities related to the field of the organized crime, have conducted a police operation in the Prishtina region which has included 4 different locations.

During this police operation which has come after the implementation of the technical covert measures of investigation and surveillance by the State Prosecutor, the suspects in an organized manner as a dangerous criminal group, are suspected to have committed the criminal offences such as: “murder in attempt”, “causing general danger”, “serious bodily harm”, “arson”, “coercion” and “illegal possession of weapons” being paid for such services, with the aim of intimidating and hurting the victims, where until now, there have been identified several victims who are suspected to have been followed for a certain time by this criminal group. The victims are of different profiles, and some of the identified victims have directly been attacked who also suffered physical injuries.

Due to the high risk, the arrest of the suspects has been done by the support of the Special Intervention Units and Fast Reaction Unit. The arrested suspects are:

1. D. S. born on1980 m/Kosovar

2. Xh. M. born on1979 m/Kosovar

3. H. H. born on1960 m/Kosovar

4. T. Sh. born on1973 m/Kosovar

During the controls and raids on the properties/dwelling houses, as material evidences have been seized:

• Two long-barrel rifles,

• Four short-barrel rifles,

• 43 cartridges,

• Five thousand (5,000,00) euro,

• Two vehicles,

• 4 phones,

• Tough tools.

By the decision of the competent prosecutor from the Basic Prosecution in Prishtina, the four (4) suspects have been taken to detention, to continue with further legal procedures.

Kosovo Police appeals all the citizens of the R. of Kosovo who have been or are victims of the criminal offences in question, to report them to nearest police stations or to contact the public telephone lines.
