A person suspected for usury arrested in action by Kosovo Police

Kosovo Police, namely the Regional Investigation Sector/RPD- Prizren, supported by other relevant units, conducted a police operation which resulted in the arrest of a Kosovar male suspect in action for the criminal offense of Usury.
On 06.08.2025, Kosovo Police, after undertaking investigative actions, conducted a police operation with the aim of arresting the suspect, who is suspected of having continuously exercised pressure on the Kosovar male victim in order to obtain interest from the usury activity, in which case he has exploited the poor financial situation of the victim and has forced the victim to act to the detriment of his property.
During the police operation, the Kosovar male suspect was arrested in action while accepting funds in the name of usury interest, where, by verbal order of the state prosecutor, his house and other accompanying facilities were searched.
Regarding the case, after interviewing the suspect, by a decision of the prosecutor from the Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren, the same person is imposed a detention measure for 48 hours.
