Policia e Kosovës, më saktë Drejtoria për Hetimin e Krimeve Ekonomike dhe Korrupsionit, me datën 19.01.2026 në koordinim me Prokurorinë Themelore Prishtinë dhe me urdhër të Gjykatës Themelore Prishtinë, ka zhvilluar kontroll në katër lokacione të ndryshme, duke përfshirë dy shtëpi/banesa private, një lokal afarist dhe një zyrë.
Përmes hetimeve të zhvilluara, ku janë aplikuar masat e veçanta të hetimit, janë siguruar dëshmi të mjaftueshme për të dëshmuar veprat penale si: ’keqpërdorim i pozitës apo autoritetit zyrtar’’ dhe “marrja e ryshfetit në sektorin privat”.
Lidhur me rastin dyshohet se katër persona të dyshuar (nga ta tre meshkuj kosovarë dhe një femër kosovare) janë përfshirë në veprat penale të lartcekura, duke marrë ryshfet nga persona të ndryshëm të cilët janë pajisur me certifikatë për leje të armës pa prezencën e tyre, siç e parasheh ligji dhe procedurat tjera vijuese.
Gjatë kontrollit janë sekuestruar përkohësisht: 7 telefona celularë, dosje dhe dokumente relevante në lidhje me rastin, ndërsa personat e dyshuar janë intervistuar në prezencë të avokatit mbrojtës dhe me vendim të prokurorit janë dërguar në mbajtje deri në 48 orë.

Four suspects arrested for abuse of official position and bribery

The Kosovo Police, more precisely the Directorate for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, on 19.01.2026 in coordination with the Basic Prosecution Office of Pristina and by order of the Basic Court of Pristina, conducted a search in four different locations, including two private houses/apartments, a business premise and an office.
Through the investigations conducted, where special investigative measures were applied, sufficient evidence was obtained to prove criminal offenses such as: ‘abuse of official position or authority” and ”taking a bribe in the private sector”.
Regarding the case, it is suspected that four suspects (three of them Kosovar men and one Kosovar woman) were involved in the aforementioned criminal offenses, by taking bribes from various persons who were provided with a certificate for a weapon permit without their presence, as provided by the law and other subsequent procedures.
During the search, 7 mobile phones, files and relevant documents related to the case were temporarily seized, while the suspects were interviewed in the presence of the defense attorney and, by decision of the prosecutor, were taken into custody for up to 48 hours.
