Policia e Kosovës, sot me datën 05.06.2026 ka pranuar vendimin e komunës së Mitrovicës Veri për largim të mbishkrimit ‘I Love Mitrovica’.
Në vend të ngjarjes menjëherë kanë dalë njësitet policore, si dhe sipas procedurave të parapara ligjore janë njoftuar inspektorët komunalë, që vendimi në fjalë duhet të shtyhet derisa të pranohet vendimi nga Ministria e Administrimit të Pushtetit Lokal (MAPL).
Në vendin e ngjarjes, ka ardhur kryetari i komunës së Mitrovicës së Veriut me rreth njëzetë (20) persona, ku në mesin e tyre ka qenë edhe kryesuesi i Kuvendit Komunal Mitrovicë Veri, të cilët pasi janë njoftuar nga komandanti i stacionit policor rreth situatës, kryetari pas dhënies së intervistës për media, iu është drejtuar zyrtarëve policorë me fjalë “tani do të ngjyrosim me ngjyrë emblemën “.
Derisa zyrtarët policorë kanë njoftuar se një gjë e tillë nuk lejohet të ndodhë, njëherit kanë kërkuar dhe tentuar të ndalojnë dëmtimin/ngjyrosjen e objektit publik.
Edhe përkundër kërkesës dhe urdhrit që të ndalohet dëmtimi/ngjyrosja e objektit publik, të njëjtit kanë filluar ta ngjyrosin atë, me ç’rast është dashur intervenimi i zyrtarëve policorë të cilët kanë shoqëruar dy personat në stacion policor. Sipas procedurave të parapara të njëjtëve iu është shqiptuar kundërvajtje për vandalizëm. Me urdhër të prokurorit kompetent janë liruar, për të vazhduar me procedurat e mëtejme.

Two individuals taken to the police station for vandalism

The Kosovo Police today, on 05.06.2026, received the decision of the municipality of Mitrovica North regarding the removal of the inscription “I Love Mitrovica.”
Police units immediately went to the scene, and according to the applicable legal procedures, municipal inspectors were notified that the decision in question should be suspended until the approval is received from the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA).
At the scene, the mayor of the Municipality of Mitrovica North arrived with around twenty (20) people, among whom was also the chairperson of the Municipal Assembly of Mitrovica North. After being informed by the station commander about the situation, the mayor, after giving a statement to the media, addressed police officers with the words: “now we will paint the emblem with the paint.”
While police officers informed them that such an action was not permitted, they also requested and attempted to prevent the damage/painting of the public property.
Despite the request and order to stop the damage/painting of the public property, the individuals proceeded to paint it, which required police intervention, during which two persons were escorted to the police station. According to the established procedures, they were issued a minor offence fine for vandalism. By the order of the competent prosecutor, they were released to continue with further proceedings.

Dva lica su privedena na policijsku stanicu zbog vandalizma
Priština, 5. jun 2026.godine
Policija Kosova, danas 05.06.2026. godine, primila je odluku opštine Mitrovica Sever o uklanjanju natpisa ‘I Love Mitrovica’.
U mesto događaja, odmah su izašle policijske jedinice, a prema predviđenim zakonskim procedurama obavešteni su opštinski inspektori, da odluka u pitanju treba da se odloži dok ne bude primljena odluka od Ministarstva administracije lokalne samouprave (MALS).
Na mestu događaja, došao je predsednik opštine Mitrovica na Severu sa oko dvadeset (20) osoba, među kojima je bio i predsedavajući Skupštine Opštine Mitrovica Sever, koji su, nakon što su obavešteni od strane komandanta policijske stanice o situaciji, predsednik nakon davanja intervjua za medije, obratio se policijskim službenicima rečima “sada ćemo obojiti grb u boju”.
Dok su policijski službenici obavestili da nešto takvo ne dozvoljava da se desi, istovremeno su tražili i pokušavali da spreče oštećenje/bojenje javnog objekta.
I pored zahteva i naredbi da se zabrani oštećenje/bojenje javnog objekta, isti su počeli da ga boje, pri čemu je bila neophodna intervencija policijskih službenika koji su sproveli dve osobe u policijsku stanicu. Prema predviđenim procedurama, izrečena im je prekršajna kazna za vandalizam. Na naredbu nadležnog tužioca oslobođeni su da nastave sa daljim procedurama.
