A series of activities are marked on the Commemoration Day of the Heroes of Kosovo Police

Today, senior state personalities and the senior management staff of Kosovo Police (KP) paid homage at the memorial of police officers who fell in the line of duty. This special commemoration day serves as an opportunity to remember and honor our heroes who sacrifices their lives in protecting the constitutional order of Republic of Kosovo.
Prime Minister of Republic of Kosovo Mr. Albin Kurti, Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Xhelal Sveçla and the General Director of Police Colonel Gazmend Hoxha, together with the senior management of KP, laid a wreath of flowers and commemorated and honored the sacrifice of police officers who have sacrificed their lives serving the citizens and the country.
After visiting the family of Muhamed Lika, laying wreaths of flowers at the “Memorial Plaque for Police Officers Fallen in the Line of Duty” at the GPD Pristina, senior state personalities, together with senior KP staff, visited the family of the hero Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku, the family of the hero Enver Zymeri, and paid homage at the Memorial of the hero Bunjaku and the hero Zymeri in the north of the country where he heroically fell.
In marking the memorial day of the heroes of Kosovo Police, they continued to carry out a series of activities, such as: opening for homage (10:00-16:00) near the Memorial Plaque of Police Officers Fallen in the Line of Duty located at the General Directorate of the KP, then sports activities that included: walking, cycling, motorbike riding and kayak racing . The teams’ routes included areas/municipalities from the south to the north of the Republic of Kosovo, through the place of the fall of the hero Enver Zymeri , Varage -Zubin Potok.
As a sign of gratitude for the participation and contribution to the commemorative activities of the ‘ Memorial Day ‘ for police officers who fell in the line of duty, as well as the 14th anniversary of the fall of the Hero Enver Zymeri , the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Sveçla , and the General Director of the KP, Colonel Hoxha, will distribute gratitude letters to all participants.
Also, as a sign of respect for the police officers who have fallen in the line of duty, at 9:00 PM, the lighting of the RKS Government building will be made.
The officers who fell in the line of duty are the heroes of our Republic and their contribution and sacrifice will remain an eternal memory in the history of the Kosovo Police and our entire country.
