Prishtina, 03 August 2021 – Today in the Arbëria neighborhood in Prishtina, the police arrested a suspect for several cases of aggravated thefts. Officers from the General Investigation Unit in Prishtina, after a long investigative work, today around 01:00, conducted an operation to arrest the suspect, against whom there are also 22 active arrest warrants for offences of the same nature. . Although the suspect, during the police operation, constantly made attempts to escape from the police, attacking police officers and while escaping he caused a traffic accident with injuries, the police managed to arrest him.

After this, medical treatment was offered to 4 people, to the citizen injured in the accident caused by the suspect, two police officers and to the suspect. The suspect, F. H, male, 32 years old, citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, after the arrest, by order of the state prosecutor was taken to the detention center for 48 hours.

In addition to the cases initiated today, Assault against an official person and Traffic Accident with injuries, the investigation of the suspect has been extended for other cases, for which there is grounded suspicion that he may be implicated. The Police of the Regional Directorate of Prishtina, within the activity for fulfilling the mission of guaranteeing public order and security, will be continuously engaged in preventing and fighting criminal activities as well as bringing to justice persons implicated in criminal activities.
