Beginning of Activities Commemorating ‘Memorial Day’ for Police Officers Who Fell in the Line of Duty

Today, July 26, 2025, in marking of the 14th anniversary of the fall of the Hero Enver Zymeri, respectively in honor of the ‘Memorial Day’ for police officers who fell in the line of duty, activities in commemoration of this Day have begun.

At 08:00, according to the scheduled agenda, the General Director of Kosovo Police, Colonel Gazmend HOXHA, with the senior management staff visited in Kaçanik, the family of the police officer, Sergeant Muhamed Lika, who fell in the line of duty,

In the early hours, some of the activities have begun, such as the opening for homage at the Memorial Plaque for Police Officers Fallen in the Line of Duty, as well as sports activities in marking this day, which include: walking, cycling, motorbike riding and kayak racing.

At 09:00, at the General Directorate of Police in Pristina, at the ‘Memorial Plaque for Police Officers Fallen in the Line of Duty’, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Xhelal Sveçla, the General Director of Police, Colonel Gazmend Hoxha, laid wreaths of flowers, as well as the state personalities and senior management staff of the KP paid tribute.

In honor of this day, other activities are continuing according to the planned agenda.
