Clarification from Kosovo Police regarding the incident dated 09.05.2021, in the area of the municipality of Zubin Potok

We would like to inform you that regarding the incident of 09.05.2021, in the area of Zubin Potok commune, respectively of Bube village, the Kosovo Police, since the initial receipt of the information, has undertaken all operational and preliminary investigative actions, in order to clarify the circumstances of the reported incident
The police immediately took action to search and identify the scene and potential material evidence. In the mountainous area of Bube village, police patrol units were sent, supported by police investigators and the Fast Reaction Unit, who searched the area and talked to residents of that area, in order to provide information about the case.
Yesterday, despite the field search, the police did not manage to find material evidence, namely the cartridges of the fired weapon. The witnesses of the case, respectively the complainants of this case, today during the day were interviewed by the Kosovo Police, as they did not give statements yesterday under the pretext that the statements will be given in the police in Pristina..
As of this morning, the police have took the statements of ten (10) complainants, while the police investigators together with the witnesses and the supporting police units will again look at the scene in order to search for material evidence.
Kosovo Police has requested cooperation and assistance of residents of the Zubin Potok area, to clarify the reported case.
All police actions related to the case will be coordinated in cooperation with the Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica.
