Kosovo Police, respectively the Directorate for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, on 29.05.2025, according to the Operational Plan “PATENTA”, carried out the order of the Basic Court of Pristina, whereby 10 different locations were searched in the regions of Pristina, Gjilan and Gjakova, such as; private homes, regional offices of the MMPHI – coordinators/examiners and businesses with driving school activities.

The investigations into this case began months ago, with the application of special investigative measures, which resulted in sufficient evidence being obtained for the criminal offenses of “Abuse of official position or authority”, “Acceptance of bribery in the private sector”, “Exercise of influence” and “Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons”, proving that eleven Kosovar male suspects, in various ways, have continuously helped numerous candidates to obtain driver’s licenses of various categories, with the aim of material gain for themselves or for other persons, always in violation of the law.

During the search, the following evidence was seized:

• one AK47,

• two revolvers,

• 224 pieces of cartridges of different calibers,

• cash (16,145 euros and 6,660 Swiss francs),

• 17 mobile phones,

• 3 PCs,

• 2 USBs

• as well as relevant documentation for further investigative procedures.

Regarding the case, the suspects were accompanied for interview and by decision of the prosecutor, ten of them were taken into custody for 48 hours, while one was released in a regular procedure.
