Kosova Police, the Directorate for Investigation of Trafficking with Narcotics, in the wake of the combat and prevention of trafficking with narcotics, into two separate cases have seized narcotics, of heroin, cocaine and marijuana as well as arrested four suspects. These successful police operations have prevented the transit circulation of narcotics in the territory of the Republic of Kosova and disabling the use of it for internal consumption.

First case: The police investigators from the Central Sector in Prishtina, in the wake of handling a case, have managed to identify a suspect for being involved in trafficking of narcotics as well as have provided the data of the vehicle used by the suspect.

On 06.03.2024 at about 19:00 o’clock, in the BCP-Kullë, have stopped a vehicle and during the control inside the vehicle have found twelve packages suspected to be filled with narcotics of heroin with the overall weight of 6314 grams, while from the suspect S.T (born on 1949, male, Kosovar) have been seized: two mobile phones and 585 euro in cash. Police, with the authorization of the Prosecutor have raid the house of the suspect and managed to find, machines for pressing the narcotics, mixer for mixing narcotics, 700 gr of heroin and other evidences. It is believed that the value of the seized narcotics is about 175.000 euro. The suspect has been taken to the police and interviewed at the presence of his attorney and by the Ruling of the prosecutor has been taken to detention for 48 hours.

Second case: The Investigators of the Central Sector have also handled the second case where through the investigative operational roads have taken the information that some suspects are selling and buying narcotics. Police identified the vehicle of the suspects and on 06.03.2024 at about 16:00 o’clock stopped them for control. During the control, police have found substances suspected to be: (17 kg cocaine, 16 gr of marijuana) and 2.335 euro.

Police also provided the order for control by the justice bodies and carried out the control into two properties of the suspect M.J., (born on 1971, male, Kosovar) where have found and seized: two bags (doses) with cocaine with the weight of 2 grams and a pistol with a magazine with 6 cartridges. During the operation there was also arrested the person B.S., (born on 1993, male, Kosovar) and A.J., (born on 1993, Male, Kosovar). The Central Sector of Investigations has closely cooperated with border officers, justice officers, K-9 unit and forensics.

All the police actions have been carried out in cooperation and coordination with the justice bodies and by the decision of them, the three suspects have been taken to detention, while one was released in regular procedure.
