Prishtina, 31st of May 2023

Kosovo Police in the commitments to provide security and prevent criminal activities, last night, during the night hours, in the north of the country, stopped a vehicle (with Slovenian license plates), in which were two serbian citizens.

The two suspects were arrested and taken to the police station, because during the control of the vehicle, some illegal equipment was found and confiscated, including camouflage masks, emblems with nationalist symbols, documents etc.

Evidence confiscated as material proofs, which are suspected to be used for violent actions, are:

– one (1) metal rod (police),
– one (1) camouflage mask,
– some knives,
– several emblems with nationalist symbols (4 S) and Serbian flag (4 S),
– some suspected types of narcotic substances,
– mobile phones,
– various sprays,
– metal sphere,
– plastic fasteners,
– one (1) vehicle,
– one (1) card of Serbian war veterans, and
– one (1) card of the security academy of Serbia.
– one (1) hammer etc.

After the interview, two suspects were detained for 48 hours by decision of the competent prosecutor.

Kosovo Police will continue to maintain a safe and calm environment for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo without distinction, as well as will take legal measures against illegal actions, which to any extent would endanger security, peace and stability in place.
