Pristina, 5th of June, 2023

Kosovo Police, the police units from the Border Police, while performing their regular duties, along the border line in the area of the village of Velegllavë, have come across trees of different types, such as: beech, poplar and cherry, in the amount of 70 ( seventy) cubic meter.

After finding this amount of wood, which is suspected to have been brought to the territory of the Republic of Kosovo from the territory of Serbia, the police officials managed to discover that this amount of wood belongs to the suspect with the initials A. L. year of birth 1985, male.

Related to the case, the competent prosecutor was contacted, by whose order was initiated the case of “smuggling in goods”. Inspectors from the central level of the Forestry of Kosovo also came at the scene.

By the order of the prosecutor, the wood is confiscated by the customs service and sent to the Dheu i Bardhë terminal, while the relevant police units are handling the case for further procedures.
