Prishtina, 19th of September 2019

Kosovo Police, in cooperation with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, began implementing the pilot project for the placement of traffic signs that warn drivers for radar speed control by the traffic police units. 

Placement of these signs initially was done by the Gjilani region, in the highways Gjilan – Prishtina and Gjilan – Ferizaj. After the project, professional evaluations for its effects on awareness raising of traffic participants, decrease of minor offences and accidents will take place. Depending on the results, this project will be implemented in other roads in the Republic of Kosovo.

The sign is designed to look simple and easy to understand by all traffic participants.
