The Kosovo Police, on July 2nd and 3rd, 2026, participated in the joint operational exercise “Golden Sword 2026-1”, which was carried out at the Special Units Camp in Vrelle, in cooperation with the KSF, KFOR, EULEX and AME.
The purpose of the exercise was to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation and increase readiness for coordinated response in the management of critical incidents and high-risk situations, through joint operational procedures and interaction of security structures.
The exercise scenario included response to security threats, identification and management of explosive devices, management of violent protests, use of specialized vehicles, evacuation of persons and full inter-institutional coordination in the field.
Operational and support units of the Kosovo Police were engaged in the exercise, including: DNJSO, NJRSH, NJTME, NJDA, DSHSH, as well as Public Order units.
The exercise was attended by senior leaders of participating institutions and international partners, who appreciated the high level of professionalism, operational discipline and inter-institutional coordination during the implementation of the scenario.
The Kosovo Police remains committed to continuously building operational capacities, strengthening cooperation with local and international partners, as well as ensuring security and public order in the Republic of Kosovo.
