Referring to the events and developments that took place yesterday (29.05.2023) where protestors, individuals/criminal groups with the extreme violence displayed made that the security situation at the north of the country deescalate and degrade to the level of endangering the life of people, including officers of security institutions.

The protests in the three municipalities in the north of the country Leposaviq, Zubin Potok and Zveqan are continuing today near the municipal facilities, the actual situation is assessed to be fragile but calm.

Kosovo Police, according to their official duties, is continuing its engagements in providing security and the progress of protests, as well as is cooperating/coordinating activities with KFOR and relevant institutions. At the same time, police units are carrying out all investigative actions related to yesterday’s cases and developments.

Kosovo Police, even today, calls citizens for calmness and not to fall prey to calls for violent protests and provocation of any nature.
