Prishtina, 24th of January 2019

Kosovo Police, respectively the Directorate of Investigation of Trafficking with Narcotics at the Gerenal Directorate in Prishtina, after a several months of investigation, during a successful police operation undertaken on date 24.01.2019; arrested three (3) persons suspected and confiscated over 50 kg substance suspected to be marihuana.

During the police operation today on 24.01.2019, at about 16:00 in the road Prishtina – Gilane (village Ponesh) Kosovo Police stopped a vehicle type Mercedes albanian registration plates, driven by the suspect (F. Th.), together with the other suspect (Xh. H.), both male Albanian citizenship and after the procedures of controlling the baggage of the respective vehicle there was found an amount of over 52 kg, substance suspected to be narcotics type marihuana.
After the tactical operational actions in the same day (24.01.2019) at about 19:30, in Gilane (in a parka lot of a market center) third person was arrested (L. M.) Serbian citizenship, suspected to be the party to receive the a/m narcotic substance.

Kosovo Police during this operation, in the capacity of the material evidence seized the following:

Two (2) vehicles,

Four (4) cell phones,

Two thousand (2000) euro cash and

Over 52 kg marihuana,

While, based on the decision of the competent prosecutor the suspect is detained for further legal procedures.
