Prishtina, 28^th of October 2021

Kosovo Police, after receiving the information related to threats against the Prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo Mr. Kurti, immediately undertook all the necessary operative and investigative measures.

The police initially increased the personal security measures of the Prime minister including his close protection, also sent a fast reaction unit from the Prishtina Region consisted of two police officers for securing the residence of the Prime minister. Kosovo Police confirms police officers from special units were not engaged in this activity.

Related to the case, the investigation were initiated immediately and they are in the ongoing. Based on the initial investigation and risk assessment the fast reaction unit left the location.

Kosovo Police will continue its engagement in providing security to personalities and citizens of the country including the investigation and treating all cases.
