Some of the results and achievements of the Kosovo Police during the period of 2024

Police of the Republic of Kosovo presents some of the overall results and achievements in fulfilling strategic and specific objectives, as well as the activities foreseen for this time period, mid-December 2024.
The official data and the positive results achieved indicate the dedication of the organization and each police officer in implementing the work plan of the Police. Although the year we are leaving behind was quite challenging for the Kosovo Police in terms of security in general, and in particular in the north of the country, the work, commitment and dedication to maintaining constitutional order proved that the Kosovo Police is ready and prepared to face all risks and threats to public order and the security in the country in general.
Among the main objectives and tasks of the KP have been the efficient and effective implementation of the law, the prevention and fight against all forms of crime, the supervision and control of the state border, international cooperation in the field of law enforcement, and the provision of services to citizens without discrimination.
General security in Kosovo during this year has been calm, with the exception of the north of the country, where the situation has been fragile and affected by several criminal and terrorist attacks, notably the terrorist attack on the Police Station in Zveqan , the terrorist attack on the Zveqan Municipality building , the terrorist attack on critical infrastructure in the Iber Canal. Lepenci in Zubin Potok, as well as the confiscation of a significant amount of weapons, ammunition and various military equipment.
Such criminal and terrorist cases and attacks in the north of the country were aimed at violating public order and security as well as preventing the implementation of the law in a fair and equal manner for all citizens, but Kosovo Police, with its determination, has managed to handle the situation in the most professional possible way.
Kosovo Police, in addition to major achievements in managing the security situation in the country, and in particular in the north of the country, which continues to be one of the main challenges, has achieved significant results in many other areas, including the reduction of criminal cases in the country and the increase in their detection .
The following we present some of the crime reporting statistics for this time period of 2024;
- The total number of cases has decreased from 47,903 to 46,300 or -3.34%
- The number of criminal offenses has decreased from 27,560 to 26,775 or -2.38%.
- Detectability has increased by 3.34%;

Comparative statistics for the period 2023/2024 show a decrease in criminal cases and offenses in general, including criminal offenses such as: Serious bodily injury, minor bodily injury, theft, aggravated theft and robbery.
Kosovo Police has undertaken a series of police activities, with the aim of preventing and combating crime, destroying criminal groups, providing sustainable security, as well as controlling and supervising the border, where it has achieved significant results in combating the phenomenon of Usury, Narcotics, Migrant Smuggling , and Smuggling of Goods, etc.

Road traffic safety has also been one of the priorities for Kosovo Police, which has drafted and implemented many operational plans, has managed to secure modern traffic equipment, has carried out various awareness campaigns with the aim of increasing traffic safety and preventing accidents, where the following positive results have been achieved;
