The Regional Investigation Sector in Prizren, received information that in the period January-March 2021, many citizens from the Republic of Kosovo had applied for work visas in various EU countries, with diplomas suspected to be falsified.

Investigators began verifying the whether these diplomas are genuine which were issued by a high school in the Municipality of Prizren, after verification the regional investigators discovered that all diplomas were falsified.

By the authorization of the prosecutor, the investigators started gathering evidence and managing to prove evidence for the criminal offense of forgery of a document, in this context various persons were interviewed as well as numerous witnesses.

By order of the prosecutor of the case, a raid was carried out in Malisheva, in a tourist agency where diplomas of the same format were found and seized as material evidence, issued on behalf of the school institution “SHML from Prizren”, for different persons. Investigators found evidence that these diplomas were produced and awarded in exchange for certain sums of money.

Related to this case the police detained the suspect H. M born in 1961, by order of the prosecutor he was interviewed in the presence of defense counsel and was detained for 48 hours. The case is being investigated.
