The wanted person extradited from Germany to Kosovo with international arrest warrant

The Kosovo Police, specifically the Directorate for International Police Cooperation ILECU, in cooperation with the justice institutions and other relevant units of the Kosovo Police, on 10.12.2025, extradited a Kosovar citizen from Germany to Kosovo.
The suspect was arrested by the German authorities, as he was wanted by an international arrest warrant issued by the justice institutions of Kosovo for serving a sentence of one (1) year in prison and that he had evaded justice.
The extradition was carried out thanks to the cooperation between the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and those of Germany.
After the extradition, the suspect was handed over to the relevant police units of the Peja region for continuation of other legal procedures.
The Directorate for International Police Cooperation will continue to exchange information with local institutions, states and international organizations, with the aim of preventing, investigating and detecting criminal activities related to the investigation of perpetrators of criminal offenses, as well as other activities in the tracking, capture/arrest of persons and criminal groups operating within and outside the country.
